Publications include “The Better Angels of Our Nature: How the Antiprejudice Norm Affects Policy and Party Preferences in Great Britain and Germany” (with Elisabeth Ivarsflaten and Robert Ford, American Journal of Political Science), part of a research project examining political parties’ use of social norms against prejudice to pursue their electoral aims. After earning his PhD at the University of Chicago, Scott taught in the Department of Political and International Relations at the University of Oxford. He has consulted for Oxford Analytica, and provided commentary for many media outlets including the BBC, the Financial Times, and the Telegraph.
